Weekly report of the Frederick Ensemble from 24.08.20 to 28.08.20

From Monday the 24th to Thursday the 28th, the theatre rehearsals with Martin Kreidt took place as usual from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday they could take place at Haus Witten, on Wednesday they had to move to the old rehearsal room in Café Leye due to the weather conditions, on Thursday they also rehearsed in Café Leye. From Tuesday to Thursday, rehearsals for some of the participants started at 10 am, while the others joined at 11 am, so it was possible to concentrate on specific figures and scenes. After the yes-man, the first part of the play, had been rehearsed so far, the no-man, the second part of the play, was added on Tuesday. For this reason, the main task outside the rehearsals was to learn the text.

In addition to rehearsing and text learning, the participants also answered a self-description question for the blog.

Continuation of the weekly report

On Friday the Frederick participants were freed. Nevertheless, some participants decided to learn the text of their roles for the play in order not to let the language become a barrier and to be able to speak freely in the rehearsals. For the text learning the spaces of the Café Leye are used again. The good acoustics of the Café Leye are very advantageous for in-depth text work.
