Who are we?
ARTE is an Erasmus+ funded cooperation project of European organizations from Italy, Portugal, Spain and Germany. Our areas of work range from science and labor market integration to coaching and art. We are working together for 2.5 years on ways to help young adults in the Mediterranean to find themselves- and a job.
How do we do that?
ARTE is a project that combines theatre training and entrepreneurship-oriented job coaching. Young adults without a job develop a stage play and at the same time receive orientation aids for the job market, for self-employment or for training (more information here) After successful activities in Italy, France and Hungary in the JobAct Europe project in recent years, ARTE focuses on youth unemployment in the Mediterranean region.
What’s happening here?
The heart of the project are the pilot projects. Through acting training and entrepreneurship-oriented job coaching, the participants get to know each other, discover their strengths and weaknesses, strengthen their self-confidence and learn the skills that are crucial for the job market or for self-employment today.

Kein Job? Da kann man schon mal Theater machen – finden wir im Projekt ARTE. Hier berichten wir, wie das geht.
Wer sind wir?
ARTE ist ein Erasmus+ gefördertes Kooperationsprojekt europäischer Organisationen aus Italien, Portugal, Spanien und Deutschland. Unsere Arbeitsbereiche reichen von der Wissenschaft und Arbeitsmarktintegration über Coaching bis in die Kunst. Für 2,5 Jahr arbeiten gemeinsam an Wegen junge Erwachsene im Mittelmeerraum dabei unterstützen, sich selbst und Arbeit zu finden.
Wie machen wir das?
ARTE ist ein Projekt, bei dem Theatertraining und ein Entrepreneurship-orientiertes Jobcoaching miteinander verknüpft werden. Junge Erwachsene ohne Job entwickeln ein Bühnenstück und bekommen gleichzeitig Orientierungshilfen für den Arbeitsmarkt, für eine Selbstständigkeit oder für eine Ausbildung (nähere Infos hier) Nachdem wir in den letzten Jahren im Projekt JobAct Europe schon erfolgreich in Italien, Frankreich und Ungarn aktiv waren, konzentrieren wir uns in ARTE auf die Jugendarbeitslosigkeit im Mittelmeerraum.
Was passiert hier?
Das Herzstück des Projektes sind die Pilotprojekte. Durch Schauspieltraining und Entrepreneurship-orientiertes Jobcoaching lernen sich die Teilnehmenden kennen, entdecken ihre Stärken und Schwächen, stärken ihr Selbstbewusstsein und lernen die Skills, die für den Arbeitsmarkt bzw. für eine Selbstständigkeit heutzutage entscheidend sind.

ArtE: final meeting in Barcelona
Conclusion, outlook and see you soon!
In the framework of our Erasmus+ project „ArtE – The Art of Employability“ all partners came together in Barcelona, Spain for a final meeting.
In June 2022, the six partners from Italy, Spain, Portugal and Germany met in Barcelona, Spain for a final international meeting to discuss the final results of the project and to give an outlook. One of the main conclusions is the positive impact on the participants as determined by our evaluation! In the pilot projects, many positive changes such as an improved psychoemotional feeling, a higher employability, improved language skills as well as increased communication skills were observed among the participants. Nevertheless, lessons learned could also be formulated: Two findings are that the evaluation methods need to be even more precisely adapted to the target group and that not all effects can be measurable. A former participant summed this up accurately: „When we look in the mirror now, we see a different person. This is a result that is difficult to capture in the questionnaire.“
„ArtE – The Art of Employability“ is now coming to an end, but this certainly does not mean that social art and the ArtE approach will not continue: During the final meeting, our Spanish partner organisation UpSocial presented their new, already implemented iteration of the ArtE approach. The target group this time was young women who have from suffered domestic violence and are currently unemployed. Viviana Urani, Director of Programmes and Communication of UpSocial, reported that the women were very motivated and that the team made them feel safe. So, they were able to open up and share their stories with each other. A follow-up of the work with this target group is already being planned.
Right after arrival, all partners attended the premiere of the play „Vuelo„, a free adaptation of „Conference of the Birds„, which was developed with the new target group. The result was touching and very powerful.
With the help of the ArtE project, it could once again been shown that social art is very versatile and can have a positive influence on the most diverse groups of people. We are very grateful and still amazed at how well and successfully we were able to implement the project despite the Covid19 pandemic. At this point, we would also like to thank the European Union once again for the funding!
We are excited about the future and remain motivated to fight youth unemployment and social inequality in Europe through our ArtE approach.

ArtE-Abschlusstreffen in Barcelona
Fazit, Ausblick und auf bald!
Im Rahmen unseres Erasmus+ Projekts „ArtE – The Art of Employability“ sind alle Partner in Barcelona, Spanien zu einem Abschlusstreffen zusammengekommen.
Im Juni 2022 haben sich die sechs Partner aus Italien, Spanien, Portugal und Deutschland in Barcelona, Spanien zu einem letzten internationalen Meeting zusammengefunden, um die Endergebnisse des Projekts zu besprechen und einen Ausblick zu geben. Ein Fazit ist vor allem die durch unsere Evaluation bestätigte positive Wirkung auf die Teilnehmenden! In den Pilotprojekten wurden sehr viele positive Veränderungen wie ein verbessertes psychosoziales Empfinden, eine höhere Beschäftigungsfähigkeit, verbesserte Sprachfähigkeiten sowie gesteigerte Kommunikationsfähigkeiten bei den Teilnehmenden festgestellt. Dennoch konnten auch Lessons Learned formuliert werden: Zwei Erkenntnisse sind, dass die Evaluationsmethoden noch genauer auf die Zielgruppe abgestimmt werden müssen und Ergebnisse nicht alle Wirkungen genau abbilden. Eine ehemalige Teilnehmerin fasste dies sehr treffend zusammen: „Wenn wir nun in den Spiegel schauen, sehen wir eine andere Person. Dies ist ein Ergebnis, das im Fragebogen schwer zu erfassen ist.“
„ArtE – The Art of Employability“ findet nun zwar sein Ende, jedoch bedeutet dies sicher nicht, dass Soziale Kunst und der ArtE-Ansatz nicht weitergeführt würden: Während des Abschlusstreffens hat unsere spanische Partnerorganisation UpSocial ihre neue, bereits durchgeführte Version des ArtE-Ansatzes vorgestellt. Die Zielgruppe waren diesmal junge Frauen, die häusliche Gewalt erleiden mussten und aktuell erwerbslos sind. Viviana Urani, Direktorin für Programme und Kommunikation UpSocials, berichtete von einer großen Motivation der Frauen und der Sicherheit, die ihnen durch das Team vermittelt werden konnte. So waren sie bereit sich zu öffnen und ihre Geschichten miteinander zu teilen. Eine Weiterführung der Arbeit mit dieser Zielgruppe ist bereits in Planung.
Die Premiere des Stücks „Vuelo“, eine freie Adaption der „Konferenz der Vögel“, welche mit der neuen Zielgruppe erarbeitet wurde, konnte zum Einstieg des Meetings von allen Partnern besucht werden. Das Ergebnis war berührend und sehr stark.
Mithilfe des Projektes ArtE hat sich also erneut gezeigt, dass Soziale Kunst sehr vielseitig ist und einen positiven Einfluss auf verschiedenste Personengruppen haben kann. Wir sind sehr dankbar und immer noch erstaunt, wie gut und erfolgreich wir das Projekt trotz der Covid19-Pandemie umsetzen konnten. An dieser Stelle auch noch einmal vielen Dank an die Europäische Union für die Förderung!
Wir sind gespannt wie es weitergeht und bleiben motiviert, Jugendarbeitslosigkeit und soziale Ungleichheit in Europa mithilfe unseres ArtE-Ansatzes zu bekämpfen.

„Train the Trainer“ week in Porto: Experiencing the ArtE method together, introducing the Entrepreneurial Mindset and celebrating success stories.
Social Art as a pioneer into professional life
Enabling people to (re)enter the world of work with the help of Social Art – that is the goal of ArtE. A combination of job coaching, Social Art and entrepreneurial mindset training helps participants to visualise their personal and professional goals and to develop the necessary skills to get there. Above all, work on social skills and self-confidence, but of course also professional skills play an important role. In order to experience the effect of the method „first hand“ and to disseminate the method to suitable trainers, the project partners from Portugal, Spain, Italy and Germany met in Porto in the first week of April 2022 for a transnational training.
Everybody is an artist!
Experiencing the ArtE method together, introducing each other to new approaches and celebrating success stories together – that’s what we met for in Porto during the first week of April 2022.
Together we completed daily theater training sessions led by Projektfabrik Witten and centered around the Grimm fairy tale „The Girl Without Hands.“ Thus, different approaches flowed into the session, leading the participants to develop a feeling for their bodies and to enter into dialogues with themselves and their training partners. The final goal was to work through different scenes of the fairy tale in small groups and present them to a potential stakeholder, so that at best the approach of the project can be spread further and even more people can benefit from it.
Entrepreneurial Mindset
In order to further multiply the ArtE method and to be able to address more groups of disadvantaged people, the Entrepreneurial Mindset from one of our Italian project partners, Vivaio per l´Intraprendenza, was also presented during the training. Thus, the concept refers primarily to unemployed academics in order to help them make the leap into self-employment. „Vivaio per l’Intraprendenza“ has already had very good experience with this approach, which is why the participants were presented with various tools to familiarize them with it as well. It was important to show the connection between an entrepreneurial spirit and theatre training and how this is relevant for the empowerment of unemployed people.
Many success stories
In addition to the new insights, ArtEs evaluation results by Margarida Azevedo from Stonesoup, Portugal and success stories by the individual project partners were presented. The highlight was the visit of a former participant of the pilot project from Portugal. Very self-confident, he stood in front of the audience and talked about his experiences during his participation in the project and the positive impact it had on his life. Our project blog, under direction of Sozialforschungsstelle, TU Dortmund, was also presented again by Casa del Lavoro, Italy, because the success stories of the participants can be read here. Besides that, Viviana Urani from UpSocial, Spain presented a new transfer strategy for an even wider dissemination of the ArtE approach. Since the start of the project in winter 2019, seven pilot projects have already been carried out with around 100 unemployed people. The project consortium is highly motivated to continue the success story of the use of Social Art against unemployment and lack of perspective, for empowerment of the individual and in the fight against social inequalities in further projects.
Train the Trainer: ArtE-Projektpartner treffen sich zum transnationalen Training in Porto
Im Erasmus+ Projekt „ArtE – The Art of Employability“ haben sich Anfang April Trainer:innen der Projektpartner aus Portugal, Spanien, Italien und Deutschland für ein fünftägiges Training in Porto, Portugal zusammengefunden. Gemeinsam wurde die ArtE-Methode, eine Kombination aus Sozialer Kunst, Job-Coaching und Entrepreneurial Mindset Training erforscht, erlebt und neue Trainer:innen in ihr geschult.
Soziale Kunst als Wegbereiterin ins Berufsleben
Menschen mithilfe Sozialer Kunst den (Wieder-)Einstieg ins Berufsleben zu ermöglichen – das ist das Ziel von ArtE. Eine Kombination aus Job-Coaching, Sozialer Kunst und Entrepreneurial-Mindset-Training hilft den Teilnehmenden dabei, sich ihre persönlichen und beruflichen Ziele vor Augen zu führen und die nötigen Fähigkeiten zu entwickeln, die für den Weg dorthin notwendig sind. Vor allem die Arbeit an Sozialkompetenzen und dem Selbstbewusstsein, aber natürlich auch berufliche Skills spielen dabei eine wichtige Rolle. Um die Wirkung der Methode „am eigenen Leibe“ zu erfahren und die Methode an geeignete Trainer:innen weiter zu verbreiten, sind die Projektpartner aus Portugal, Spanien, Italien und Deutschland in der ersten Aprilwoche 2022 zum transnationalen Training in Porto zusammengekommen.
Everybody is an artist!
Ganz nach diesem Motto verlief die „Train the Trainer“-Woche in Porto. In täglichen Theatertrainings, in welchen Methoden der Sozialen Kunst angewandt und vorgestellt wurden, lernten die Teilnehmenden, in einen Dialog mit sich selbst und mit anderen zu treten.. Als Grundlage der Theaterarbeit diente dabei das Impulsthema „Märchen“ des Projektpartners Projektfabrik aus Witten. In kleinen Gruppen wurden Szenen des Gebrüder Grimm Märchens „Das Mädchen ohne Hände“ erarbeitet, die die Basis für den Besuch von potenziellen neuen Stakeholdern am letzten Trainingstag waren.
Entrepreneurial Mindset
Neben der szenischen Arbeit diente das Training dazu, die Teilnehmer:innen in das Konzept des Entrepreneurial Mindsets einzuführen. Die Partnerorganisation Vivaio per l´Intraprendenza aus Florenz, hat dazu verschiedene Tools vorgestellt und diese in Kleingruppen auch ausprobieren lassen. Wichtig dabei war, immer wieder die Verbindung zwischen einem unternehmerischen Geist und Theatertraining aufzuzeigen und inwiefern dies für das Empowerment Erwerbsloser relevant ist. Genaueres über die Verbindung von Theater und dem Entrepreneurial Mindset wird bald in einem Vademecum nachzulesen sein. Dieses wird hier auf der Homepage von ArtE zum Download bereitstehen.
Zahlreiche Erfolgsgeschichten
Neben den neuen Erkenntnissen wurden auch die umfangreichen ArtE-Evaluierungsergebnisse von Margarida Azevedo von Stonesoup, Portugal, und Erfolgsgeschichten der einzelnen Projektpartner vorgestellt. Der Höhepunkt war der Besuch eines ehemaligen Teilnehmers des Pilotprojekts aus Portugal. Sehr selbstbewusst stand er vor dem Publikum und erzählte von seinen Erfahrungen während der Teilnahme am Projekt und den positiven Auswirkungen auf sein Leben. Auch unser Projektblog, unter der Leitung der Sozialforschungsstelle, TU Dortmund, wurde von Casa del Lavoro, Italien noch einmal vorgestellt, weil hier die Erfolgsgeschichten der Teilnehmer:innen nachzulesen sind. Außerdem stellte Viviana Urani von UpSocial, Spanien, eine sehr interessante Transferstrategie für eine noch größere Verbreitung des ArtE-Ansatzes vor. Seit Projektbeginn im Winter 2019 konnten bereits sieben Pilotprojekte mit rund 100 Erwerbslosen durchgeführt werden. Das Projektkonsortium ist hochmotiviert, die Erfolgsgeschichte des Einsatzes von Sozialer Kunst gegen Arbeits- und Perspektivlosigkeit, für Empowerment der/des Einzelnen und im Kampf gegen soziale Ungleichheiten in weiteren Projekten fortzusetzen.
ArtE Meeting in Firenze from 14th to 16th of March 2022
Meeting with project partners and organization of the Train-the-Trainer in Porto
Shortly before the ArtE final training takes place in Porto in April (host partner is Stonesoup), the project partners Vivaio, Projektfabrik and TU Dortmund met again for a three-day international meeting in Florence from 14th to 16th of March 2022.
In addition to preparing the training in Portugal, the partners focused on the final planning of ArtE – The Art of Employability, as the Erasmus+ project will end soon at the end of June. Until then, we are looking forward to Porto and our Entrepreneurial Mindset Training: During 5 days in April, we will present our project and the ArtE approach to interested trainers. The goal is to spread the ArtE approach further so that it can be applied by more and more people. In this way, we want to continue working together to show young people in Europe great job prospects and to empower them with the help of social art and make them fit for the labor market. Before the end of the project in June, we will also publish the Entrepreneurial Mindset Training, in the form of a brochure and various videos. The material will also be available here. Stay tuned!
After three very productive days in Florence, we are now looking forward to meeting again soon at the „Train the Trainer“ in Porto.
Treffen mit Projektpartnern und Organisation des Trainings in Porto
Kurz bevor das ArtE-Abschlusstraining im April in Porto stattfindet, haben sich die Projektpartner Vivaio, Projektfabrik und TU Dortmund vom 14. bis zum 16. März 2022 noch einmal für ein dreitägiges internationales Meeting in Florenz getroffen.
Neben der Vorbereitung des Trainings in Portugal haben sich die Partner hier vor allem mit der Abschlussplanung von ArtE – The Art of Employability beschäftigt, denn Ende Juni wird das Erasmus+-Projekt leider schon enden. Bis dahin blicken wir aber mit voller Power auf Porto und auf unser Entrepreneurial Mindset Training: An 5 Tagen werden wir im April im Rahmen des Trainings, interessierten Trainer:innen unser Projekt und den ArtE-Ansatz vorstellen. Ziel ist es, den ArtE-Ansatz weiter zu verbreiten, sodass er von immer mehr Menschen angewandt werden kann. So wollen wir gemeinsam weiter daran arbeiten, jungen Menschen in Europa tolle Jobperspektiven aufzuzeigen und sie mithilfe sozialer Kunst zu empowern und fit für den Arbeitsmarkt zu machen. Vor dem Ende des Projektes im Juni, werden wir hierfür auch noch das Entrepreneurial Mindset Training, in Form einer Broschüre und verschiedener Videos, veröffentlichen. Das Material wird auch hier zu finden sein. Seid gespannt!
Nach drei sehr produktiven Tagen in Florenz freuen wir uns nun gemeinsam auf ein baldiges Wiedersehen beim „Train the Trainer“ in Porto.
ArtE Meeting in Barcelona from 21st to 22nd of October 2021
Pilot projects and a visit to UpSocials partner Espai Teatro
After last year’s international project meeting in Italy, this year our trip went to Barcelona.
In addition to project coordination sessions and the planning of further pilot projects, we had the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at Espai Teatro, UpSocial’s partner. We attended a theatre rehearsal of young participants in which we were allowed to actively participate as an audience by carrying out instructions and actions written on slips of paper, on which the play then gradually built up. After the successful and very entertaining rehearsal of the play, we went into an exchange with the participants about their personal backgrounds and plans for the future.
We also had good news to report about the heart of ArtE, our pilot projects: For example, a new pilot project for young people in Turin (project partner Casa del Lavoro) started in October, which can offer a three-month paid internship for the participants after the completion of the play. In addition, the interviews of former project participants (pilot project UpSocial), who at the time had only recently immigrated to Spain, were evaluated. Each of them now has a residence status, is starting a school education, is working or qualifying for a future job.
We are already looking forward to the training in April 2022 in Porto at our project partner Stonesoup, where we will introduce the ArtE approach to other interested stakeholders. Until then, we will continue to work on the Entrepreneurial Mindset, a training concept for combining theatre and entrepreneurship. This is being done under the leadership of Vivaio per l’Intraprendenza and with the active support of Sozialforschungsstelle (TU Dortmund University) and Projektfabrik. Pilotprojekte und zu Besuch beim UpSocial-Partner Espai Teatro
Nachdem wir uns im letzten Jahr in Italien zum internationalen Projektmeeting treffen konnten, ging unsere Reise in diesem Jahr nach Barcelona.
Neben Besprechungen zur Projektkoordination und der Planung weiterer Pilotprojekte hatten wir vor Ort die Möglichkeit, bei Espai Teatro, dem Partner von UpSocial, hinter die Kulissen zu schauen. Wir besuchten eine Theaterprobe von jungen Teilnehmer:innen bei der wir als Publikum aktiv mitwirken durften, indem wir auf Zettel geschriebene Hinweise und Aktionen ausführten, auf denen sich das Stück dann nach und nach aufbaute. Nach der erfolgreichen und sehr unterhaltsamen Probe des Stücks sind wir noch in den Austausch mit den Teilnehmer:innen über ihre persönlichen Hintergründe und Zukunftspläne gegangen.
Auch über das Herz von ArtE, unsere Pilotprojekte, gab es erfreuliches zu berichten: So startete im Oktober ein neues Pilotprojekt für junge Menschen in Turin (Projektpartner Casa del Lavoro), welches nach Abschluss des Theaterstücks ein dreimonatiges, bezahltes Praktikum für die Teilnehmenden anbieten kann. Zudem wurden die Befragungen von ehemaligen Projektteilnehmer:innen (Pilotprojekt UpSocial) ausgewertet, welche zum damaligen Zeitpunkt erst kürzlich nach Spanien eingewandert waren. Jede:r von ihnen besitzt nun einen Aufenthaltsstatus, beginnt eine Schulausbildung, arbeitet oder qualifiziert sich für eine zukünftige Arbeitsstelle.
Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf das Training im April in Porto bei unserem Projektpartner Stonesoup, bei dem wir den ArtE-Ansatz weiteren interessierten Akteuren nahebringen werden. Bis dahin werden wir weiter am Entrepreneurial Mindset, einem Trainingskonzept für die Verbindung von Theater und Entrepreneurship, arbeiten. Dies geschieht unter Federführung von Vivaio per l´Intraprendenza und mit tatkräftiger Unterstützung der Sozialforschungsstelle (Technische Universität Dortmund) und der Projektfabrik. Das Entrepreneurial Mindset wird dann auch hier auf unserer Homepage zu finden sein. Bleibt gespannt!
ArtE Meeting in Porto from 17th to 18th of June 2021
Meeting with project partners and premiere at the Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis
In June 2021 we went to Porto for two days as part of an international project meeting. Our host was ArtE´s project partner Stonesoup.
On site, we exchanged experiences in the pilot projects and discussed a lot of organizational matters.
In addition to the more organizational content, we were also involved in practical activities: We were allowed to participate in one of Espaco t’s regular courses in order to get to know the individual methods and to familiarize ourselves with the participants.
The big highlight, however, was the premiere of the Portuguese pilot project in the Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis on the last evening of our trip. To be able to marvel at the result of our work in the form of a successful theatre premiere is always a great feeling for us!

Im Juni 2021 ging es für uns im Rahmen eines internationalen Projektmeetings für zwei Tage nach Porto. Unser Gastgeber war der Projektpartner Stonesoup.
Vor Ort haben wir uns zum einen über die bisherigen Erfahrungen in den Pilotprojekten ausgetauscht und zum anderen viel Organisatorisches besprochen.
Neben den eher organisatorischen Inhalten, haben wir uns aber natürlich auch praktisch betätigt: Wir durften an einem der regulären Kurse von Espaco t teilnehmen, um die einzelnen Methoden kennenzulernen und uns mit den Teilnehmer:innen vertraut zu machen.
Das große Highlight war aber die Premiere des portugiesischen Pilotprojektes im Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis am letzten Abend unserer Reise. Das Ergebnis unserer Arbeit in Form einer erfolgreichen Theaterpremiere bestaunen zu können, ist immer wieder ein großartiges Gefühl für uns!

Pilot projects and international meeting with safety distance
Rules of hygiene practices, physical distancing and wearing face masks: International meeting and theater premieres in ArtE – The Art of Employability in Florence, Italy under special conditions
How does the international project work actually go on during the Corona pandemic? The past weeks in the Erasmus+ project ArtE – The Art of Employability can provide a small insight. Our national pilot projects in each of the participating countries Italy, Portugal, Spain and Germany are the heart of the project. In those pilot projects, young unemployed people work on a play over several weeks and at the same time receive job coaching tailored to their needs. After the premiere of the play, they can start a new job, an internship or training (more about the JobAct method here).
Although internal work meetings in the last few months could be implemented well through virtual solutions, the international „real“ meetings around our pilot projects are once again something very special. Representatives of all partner organizations meet to work on project topics and to watch the theater performance of a pilot project.
With the luck to have caught a suitable time window during the pandemic, two such premieres could take place in Witten and Florence at the end of September and beginning of October. With individual seats, a lot of distance and a masked audience in the theater hall, the participants could perform what they had learned in the weeks before (check out also our blog below).
The premiere in Italy was combined with an international project meeting which fortunately could also take place in reality under favorable spatial conditions. While such a scenario seems almost unthinkable today – four weeks later – it can be said that ArtE had good timing and luck to be able to use the limited possibilities of real meetings in late summer before the project work had to switch back to digital.

Hygiene- und Abstandsregeln und Mund-Nasen-Schutz tragen: Internationales Treffen und Theaterpremieren in ArtE – The Art of Employability in Florenz, Italien unter besonderen Bedingungen
Wie läuft die internationale Projektarbeit während der Corona-Pandemie tatsächlich ab? Die letzten Wochen im Erasmus+ Projekt ArtE – The Art of Employability können einen kleinen Einblick geben. Unsere nationalen Pilotprojekte in jedem der teilnehmenden Länder Italien, Portugal, Spanien und Deutschland bilden das Herzstück des Projekts. In diesen Pilotprojekten arbeiten junge Arbeitslose über mehrere Wochen an einem Theaterstück und erhalten gleichzeitig ein auf ihre Bedürfnisse zugeschnittenes Job-Coaching. Nach der Premiere des Stücks starten sie in einen neuen Job, ein Praktikum oder in eine Ausbildung (mehr über die JobAct-Methode hier).
Ließen sich interne Arbeitstreffen in den letzten Monaten zwar gut durch virtuelle Lösungen umsetzen, sind die internationalen „realen“ Treffen rund um unsere Pilotprojekte doch nochmal etwas ganz Besonderes. Hier treffen sich Vertreter*innen aller Partnerorganisationen, um an inhaltlichen Projektthemen zu arbeiten und um sich die Theateraufführung eines Pilotprojektes anzuschauen.
Mit dem Glück, ein passendes Zeitfenster während der Pandemie „erwischt“ zu haben, konnten Ende September sowie Anfang Oktober nun zwei solcher Premieren in Witten und in Florenz stattfinden. Mit einzelnen Sitzplätzen, viel Abstand und einem maskierten Publikum im Theatersaal konnten die Teilnehmer das aufführen, was sie in den Wochen zuvor gelernt hatten (siehe auch unseren Blog unten).
In Italien war die Premiere mit einem zeitgleich stattfindendem internationalen Projektmeeting verbunden, das glücklicherweise unter günstigen räumlichen Bedingungen ebenfalls real stattfinden konnte. Erscheint einem heute – vier Wochen später – ein solches Szenario fast schon unmöglich bleibt wohl festzuhalten, dass ArtE ein gutes Timing und Glück hatte, die beschränkten Möglichkeiten realer Treffen im Spätsommer nutzen zu können, bevor die Projektarbeit nun wieder ins Digitale umschwenken muss.

Setting the stage for the dissemination of social art in Europe
ArtE has begun! After we had already met in November 2019 for the kick-off in Witten, an intensive five-day training session with the ArtE project team took place last week at the project factory in Witten. Here we intensively dealt with how the JobAct approach can be adapted in Spain and Portugal and what dissemination and evaluation strategies could look like. Furthermore, with regard to the core of our project – the pilot projects – all partner organisations were provided with the necessary know-how for the initialisation and implementation of the pilot projects. In order not to neglect the arts and to increase creativity, we have – in keeping with the spirit of social art – loosened up the training with theatre exercises. Besides many creative and beautiful moments, our highlight of the week was definitely the invitation of the FREDERICK-Ensemble to their lunch table: For this, once again, a heartfelt thank you to all participants!
Bühne frei für die Verbreitung sozialer Kunst in Europa
ArtE hat begonnen! Nachdem wir uns bereits im November 2019 für das Kick-off in Witten getroffen hatten, fand letzte Woche ein intensives fünftägiges Training mit dem ArtE-Projektteam in der Projektfabrik in Witten statt. Hier haben wir uns intensiv damit beschäftigt wie der JobAct-Ansatz in Spanien und Portugal adaptiert werden kann und wie Verbreitungs- und Evaluationsstrategien aussehen könnten. Außerdem wurden im Hinblick auf das Herzstück unseres Projektes – die Pilotprojekte – alle Partnerorganisationen mit dem nötigen Know-How für die Initialisierung und Durchführung der Pilotprojekte ausgestattet. Um auch die Kunst nicht zu kurz kommen zu lassen und die Kreativität zu steigern, haben wir – ganz im Sinne der sozialen Kunst – das Training mit Theaterübungen aufgelockert. Neben vielen kreativen und schönen Momenten war unser Highlight der Woche aber definitiv die Einladung des FREDERICK-Ensembles zu ihrem Mittagtisch: Hierfür noch einmal ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle Beteiligten!
